  I called the budget office in Coffs Harbour and was told there was nothing they could do. So I returned the car to the airport and the gentleman was very amenable allocating me to another car. This time the air conditioning worked well.

  The service at the airport was good. The gentleman dealing with the car was excellent. I had to bring a car back because it did not have the air conditioner working.

  The transparency of costs is not made evident on the initial agreement. I though I was paying 90 dollars for a two day car hire, it ended up being over 250 dollars. Yes i did do some additional Km, but that withstanding, the add on costs that they do not tell you about was over 100 dollars.

  On trying to communicate my dissatisfaction with the invoicing process, I was made to feel like an idiot. Therefore I have informed head office and will definitely be asking about all the hidden costs next time I rent a car from Budget.

  I recently took a group of 15 year olds from Coffs Harbour to Inverell and hired a 12 seater bus from Budget Coffs Harbour. When I rang around different companies most quoted between $130 and $150 per day some included 200 kms a day others didn't. When I rang Budget they quoted $99 a day including 200 kms a day free. I was cautious because I read the reviews that stated beware the hidden costs. When I went to pick up the bus I was informed it was brand new and it was. The bus was excellent and I was more than satisfied with the service. When I received the bill there were no added on or hidden costs just exactly what I was quoted. I would recommend using Budget to anyone who wants a good deal at an unbeatable price.
