  UPDATE: The response below is indeed the answer to my initial email complaint as decribed above. I replied twice to this email on both Jan 8 and Jan 12. No response as of today, 17 Jan.

  Just moved to Coffs, found it hard to find a good computer shop in the past. very helpful and fast. Have recommended to friends and same result.

  Appalling. They carried out $280 of repairs on my laptop without first gaining my consent - for a 6-year old, $500 laptop this was ridiculous. The laptop was returned to me missing its keyboard. Upon reinstalling the keyboard, the assistant discovered the laptop couldn't be turned on as the start button had been damaged by the repair. He gave me $50 for the "failed repair". After I complained by email, the manager offered to repair the button for free, although the assistant and probably he too knew that by then I had permanently left the area. As soon as I mentioned this, he stopped responding to emails. Use Helptech at your own risk!

  Bought a power supply doa. Owner swapped it on the spot without any issues. Pricing was steep but to be expected in a small town.

  The guys at Helptech Computers are straight shooters, that are down to earth and honest. They explained everything in simple terms, and kept me informed with the progress and cost as they were troubleshooting my son's PC problems. My son's gaming system was repaired in a timely manner, and at a reasonable cost. I have engaged the services of Helptech Computers once prior for my business PC and was equally as pleased. Note, I have an above average understanding of computers, and these guys resolved issues that I spent innumeral hours trying to resolve, to no avail obviously lol.
