The pastries and breads come from two separate buildings and bakers. The pastries seem top-notch. Certainly the croissants were above average (and sell out by 9am on Saturdays at the location near the Jetty).

I know I'm one of many regulars. K'pane's staff are excellent (Michael is a great character) and I love the pies, pastries, cakes and the smell of real bread is real attraction. I must come here 10 times a week on average.

Chicken and mushroom pie is top notch.

The bread was a huge disappointment, in particular the so-called sprouted wheat sourdough loaf. The wheat kernels were as hard as rocks and showed no sign of ever having been "activated" much less sprouted. The flavour was sour without being delicious. The crust showed no respect for the artisan tradition of cuts and curls.
